The new Incorporated Societies Act was passed into law on 6 April 2022. The new Act intends to make incorporated societies’ governance functions more robust by aligning director duties more closely with those in the Companies Act. To meet the requirements of the new Act, a new CSNZ Constitution has been drafted per the Sport NZ template, adopting most of the provisions of our existing Rules. The Board has approved this draft for circulation to its members.
Canoe Slalom NZ invited its members to read the updated Constitution and provide Feedback on the Form by 27 October 2024. We will consider feedback before a final draft is turned in to the members before the Special General Meeting in February 2025.
